बिलासपुर । बिलासपुर सवारियों को ढो रहे ऑटो चालक यातायात नियमों को मुंह चिढ़ा रहे हैं। ऑटो वाहन में क्षमता से अधिक यात्रियों को भरकर बीच शहर में फर्राटा भर रहे चालकों को पुलिस का खौफ नहीं रह गया है। ऐसा इसलिए कि चालकों की मनमानी पर अंकुश लगाने में यातायात पुलिस नाकाम है। शहर में तेजी से बढ़ रहे ऑटो यातायात के लिए समस्या बनते जा रहे हैं। नियमों का उल्लंघन करके सडक़ों पर दौडऩे वाले ऑटो के कारण जहां मुख्य मार्ग पर जाम की स्थिति निर्मित होती है। वहीं इससे हादसे होने की संभावना बनी रहती है। शहर में ऑटो की अनियंत्रित आवाजाही सबसे बड़ा रोड़ा बन गई है
चालकों की मनमानी से ओवरलोड के चलते अक्सर हादसे होते हैं और रास्तों पर जाम लग जाते हैं। जिम्मेदारों का इस ओर कोई ध्यान नहीं जाता। बिना कोई संकेत दिए सडक़ पर ब्रेक लगाकर अचानक रोक देना और सडक़ों पर तेज रफ्तार दौड़ाना उनकी आदत में शुमार हो गया है। ज्यादातर ऑटो चालक आसपास खड़ी सवारी देखकर बिना संकेत के सडक़ पर ब्रेक लगाकर अचानक रोक देते हैं या फिर कहीं भी मोड़ देते हैं। जिससे अक्सर पीछे आने वाले वाहन उससे टकराकर हादसे का शिकार होते हैं।
चार की जगह बैठा रहे 15 सवारियां
ऑटो चालकों की लापरवाही से कई बार बड़े हादसे भी देखने को मिले हैं। ऑटो चालक अपनी मर्जी से अधिकतम 4 सवारी बैठने के स्थान पर 10से 15 सवारी बैठा रहे हैं। बाहर लटकने वालों की संख्या अलग है। जिस कारण से कई बार ऑटो अनियंत्रित होकर पलट जाता है। इस तरह की कई घटनाएं हुई हैं। फिर भी यातायात पुलिस कोई कार्रवाई नहीं करती। शहर से होकर ओवरलोड सैकड़ों ऑटो दौड़ लगा रहे हैं यह सब नजारा यातायात पुलिस रोज देखती है।

ऑटो में ओवरलोड सवारी भरकर लापरवाह चालक खतरा मोल ले रहे हैं। बाइक पर तीन बैठें, या ऑटो में ओवरलोड इसकी परवाह पुलिस को नहीं है। जान जोखिम में डालकर ओवरलोड ऑटो में यात्रा कर रहे लोग असुरक्षित महसूस करते हैं। बात करें ग्रामीण रूटों की तो बेधडक़ सवारी लटका कर फर्राटा मारते हैं। कई बार ऑटो पलटने की दुर्घटनाएं घटित हो चुकी हैं। इसके बावजूद इन पर कार्रवाई करने से पुलिस कतराती है।
