वैक्सीन को मंजूरी पर बड़े फैसले की उम्मीद, देश में ड्राई रन से एक दिन पहले आज एक्सपर्ट पैनल की मीटिंग
देश में कोरोना की पहली वैक्सीन कौन सी होगी, इस पर आज फैसला हो सकता है। सरकार की ओर से बनाया गया एक्सपर्ट पैनल शुक्रवार को वैक्सीन का अप्रूवल मांगने वाली कंपनियों के एप्लीकेशन पर विचार करेगा। अब तक सीरम इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ इंडिया (SII), भारत बायोटेक और फाइजर ने इमरजेंसी यूज की मंजूरी के लिए अप्लाई किया है।
सीरम इंस्टीट्यूट कोवीशील्ड नाम की वैक्सीन बना रहा है। इसे ऑक्सफोर्ड यूनिवर्सिटी और फार्मा कंपनी एस्ट्राजेनेका ने डेवलप किया है। सीरम इंस्टीट्यूट के अलावा स्वदेशी वैक्सीन कोवैक्सिन बनाने वाली भारत बायोटेक ने बुधवार को पैनल के सामने प्रजेंटेशन दिया था। वहीं, अमेरिकी कंपनी फाइजर ने अपना डेटा पेश करने के लिए और वक्त मांगा है।
पैनल से मंजूरी के बाद फाइनल अप्रूवल मिलेगा
एक्सपर्ट पैनल से मंजूरी मिलने के बाद कंपनियों की एप्लीकेशन ड्रग्स कंट्रोलर जनरल ऑफ इंडिया के पास फाइनल अप्रूवल के लिए जाएगी। सरकार इसी महीने से वैक्सीनेशन शुरू करने के लिहाज से तैयार कर रही है। इसके लिए कल यानी 2 जनवरी को पूरे देश में वैक्सीन का ड्राई रन किया जाना है। ड्राई रन से एक दिन पहले पैनल यह मीटिंग करने जा रहा है।
इससे पहले गुरुवार को ड्रग्स कंट्रोलर जनरल डॉ. वीजी सोमानी ने कहा था कि नया साल हमारे लिए हैप्पी होगा, क्योंकि तब हमारे हाथ में कुछ होगा। इससे माना जा रहा है कि जल्द ही किसी वैक्सीन को अप्रूवल मिल सकता है। भारत अमेरिका के बाद कोरोना से प्रभावित दुनिया का दूसरी सबसे बड़ा देश है। सरकार ने अगले छह से आठ महीनों में 30 करोड़ लोगों को वैक्सीन लगाने की योजना बनाई है।
कोवीशील्ड दौड़ में सबसे आगे
सस्ती होने की वजह से ऑक्सफोर्ड वैक्सीन सरकार की सबसे बड़ी उम्मीद है। हालांकि, सरकार ने अब तक सीरम इंस्टीट्यूट के साथ इसकी खरीद के समझौते पर दस्तखत नहीं किए हैं। कंपनी का कहना है कि वह पहले अपने घरेलू बाजार पर फोकस करेगी। इसके बाद इसे दक्षिण एशियाई देशों और अफ्रीका को एक्सपोर्ट किया जाएगा।
वैक्सीन बनाने वाली दुनिया की सबसे बड़ी कंपनी के CEO अदार पूनावाला ने सोमवार को बताया था कि ऑक्सफोर्ड-एस्ट्राजेनेका वैक्सीन के लगभग पांच करोड़ पहले ही तैयार हो चुके हैं। अगले साल मार्च तक 10 करोड़ तक डोज बनाने की योजना है।

अमेरिका में फाइजर और मॉडर्ना की वैक्सीन को इमरजेंसी यूज का अप्रूवल मिल चुका है।
ब्रिटेन ने फाइजर और एस्ट्रोजेनेका वैक्सीन को मंजूरी दी है। यहां वैक्सीनेशन चल रहा है।
चीन ने हाल में स्वदेशी कंपनी सिनोफार्म की वैक्सीन को कुछ शर्तों के साथ मंजूरी दी है।
रूस में भी स्वदेशी वैक्सीन स्पूतनिक V के जरिए मास वैक्सीनेशन शुरू किया जा चुका है।
कनाडा ने फाइजर और बायोएनटेक की वैक्सीन को मंजूरी दी है।
