नई दिल्ली | देश की राजधानी दिल्ली में नए साल के आगाज के साथ बढ़ती ठंड का आगाज भी हो रहा। पूरे शहर पर कोहरे की चादर छाई है और कंपकंपा देने वाली ठंड है।क्षेत्रीय मौसम विज्ञान केंद्र के अनुसार, दिल्ली में शुक्रवार को मौसम का सबसे कम तापमान 1.6 डिग्री सेल्सियस दर्ज किया गया। सुबह 7 बजे तक 0 दृश्यता के साथ पालम में बहुत घना कोहरा था। सुबह 7 बजे के बाद, दृश्यता में लगभग 150 मीटर तक सुधार हुआ। दिल्ली के सफदरजंग न्यूनतम तापमान आज 1.1 डिग्री दर्ज किया गया, इससे पहला पिछला रिकॉर्ड 8 जनवरी 2006 को 0.2 डिग्री था।
उत्तर पश्चिमी मैदानी इलाकों के कई हिस्सों ने पिछले कुछ दिनों में सब-जीरो या 0 डिग्री सेल्सियस न्यूनतम तापमान दर्ज किया है। वैज्ञानिकों ने कहा है कि इस साल निश्चित रूप से ठंड गंभीर है।
आईएमडी के वैज्ञानिकों ने कहा कि दिल्ली और राष्ट्रीय राजधानी क्षेत्र (एनसीआर) में शुक्रवार को भी शीतलहर जारी रहेगी, लेकिन न्यूनतम तापमान बढ़ने लगेगा और रविवार तक 7 डिग्री सेल्सियस को छूने की उम्मीद है। आईएमडी द्वारा गुरुवार को जारी किए गए डेटा से पता चला है कि इस दिसंबर का एमएमटी 7.1 डिग्री सेल्सियस था, जो 8.3 डिग्री सेल्सियस से कम था
देखने को मिला कोहरे का कहर
दिल्ली के इंदिरा गांधी अंतर्राष्ट्रीय हवाई अड्डे पर गुरुवार सुबह कोहरे के चलते कई यात्री फंसे हुए थे, जिससे आने वाली दो फ्लाइट डायवर्ट हो गईं और दूसरी फ्लाइटों की रवानगी में देरी हुई। लेकिन किसी भी उड़ान को रद्द नहीं किया गया, हवाई अड्डे के अधिकारियों ने कहा कि प्रभाव कम था क्योंकि सभी तीन रनवे चालू थे।
उत्तर-पश्चिम और मध्य भारत में दक्षिण-पूर्वी हवाओं के कारण अगले 4 से 5 दिनों के दौरान न्यूनतम तापमान में 3-5 डिग्री सेल्सियस की वृद्धि होने की संभावना है। अगले 24 घंटों के दौरान हिमाचल प्रदेश, पंजाब, हरियाणा, चंडीगढ़, दिल्ली, उत्तर प्रदेश, राजस्थान और पश्चिम मध्य प्रदेश के कुछ हिस्सों में “शीत लहर” से “गंभीर शीत लहर” की स्थिति होने की संभावना है।

भारत मौसम विज्ञान विभाग (IMD) ने 31 दिसंबर को रात 9 बजे जारी अपने दैनिक बुलेटिन में कहा है कि अगले 2 दिनों के दौरान दिल्ली में अलग-अलग स्थानों पर शीत लहर की स्थिति गंभीर रहने की संभावना है। आईएमडी ने यह भी कहा कि अगले 2 दिनों के दौरान पंजाब, हरियाणा, चंडीगढ़ और दिल्ली के कुछ इलाकों में घने कोहरे की संभावना है।
